Privacy Policy

Last updated 28 September 2026

This policy explains what personal data LED Display Mart collects when you use this website, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. It is written to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act").

1. Who we are

LED Display Mart (“we”, “us”) is the “Data Fiduciary” for the data described here: we decide why and how it is used. We are a signage and LED display maker based in Bengaluru.

2. What we collect, and why

We collect only what we need for the purpose shown. Nothing here is collected “just in case”.

  • Quote requests (the quote form): your name, mobile number, email, city or area, and what you need (product, size, placement, timeline, and any details you write). Why: to work out a quote, contact you about it, and — if you go ahead — make and deliver your order.
  • Order records (created by us once you order): the order amount, advance payment and payment status, warranty terms, our notes, status updates, and the invoice we issue. Why: to fulfil your order, keep proper accounts, and honour the warranty.
  • Service requests (the support form): your name, mobile, email, product, order reference, city or area, and a description of the problem. Why: to arrange a visit, drop-off or remote support.
  • Checking it’s you (tracking your order): the phone number or email you enter, and a one-time code we send to it. Codes are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form and expire in minutes. Why: so nobody else can see your order.
  • Abuse protection: to stop people guessing order numbers or flooding the forms, we count attempts per internet address. The address is scrambled (hashed) before it is stored and the counters are deleted automatically within a day.
  • Feedback (the rating pop-up): your star rating, an optional comment, and the order reference. Why: to improve our service.

What we do not collect: payment card or bank details (we do not take payments on this website), your precise location, advertising or analytics profiles, or any data from children. This site uses no analytics or advertising trackers.

3. Your consent, and the other reasons we may use your data

Where we ask for your details (the quote, support and feedback forms), we ask you to tick a box first. Nothing is pre-ticked. By ticking it you consent to us using your data for the purposes in section 2. You can withdraw consent at any time (section 7); this does not affect what we did before, and we may still keep records we are legally required to keep.

The DPDP Act also lets us use data without fresh consent for certain “legitimate uses”, such as doing what you asked for, meeting a legal duty (for example tax and accounting records), and responding to a medical or safety emergency. We use data this way only where it applies.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. We use a few service providers (“Data Processors”) who handle it only on our behalf:

  • Supabase — our database (orders, requests) and the private storage where uploaded files such as your invoice are kept.
  • Netlify — hosts this website.
  • Google (Gmail) — sends our emails: confirmations, invoices, reminders and one-time codes.
  • Google Maps — only if you click “Load map” on our contact section. Until then, nothing is sent to Google Maps.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you choose to message us there, or when we message you about your order at your request.

We may also disclose data if a court or government authority lawfully requires it.

5. Where your data is stored

Our database and uploaded files are kept with Supabase, in the data-centre region chosen for our project, which may be outside India. Some providers above (for example web hosting and email delivery) may process data on servers outside India. The DPDP Act allows this except to countries the Government restricts; we use providers with recognised security practices.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become orders: only as long as needed to follow up, and we delete them on request.
  • Orders, invoices and payment records: for as long as the warranty or after-sales relationship lasts, and for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep business records.
  • Service requests: for the life of the service and warranty period; after that we delete them on request.
  • One-time codes and abuse-protection counters: deleted automatically within a day.
  • Feedback: kept while it is useful for improving the service, and deleted on request.

7. Your rights under the DPDP Act

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data of yours we hold and how it is used (right to access information);
  • correct wrong or out-of-date data, or complete it (right to correction);
  • delete your data once it is no longer needed for the purpose or a legal duty (right to erasure);
  • withdraw your consent, as easily as you gave it;
  • deal with a complaint (right of grievance redressal); and
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or cannot do so yourself.

To use any of these, email leddisplaymart@gmail.com or call +91 98800 68088. We may ask you to prove who you are first (for example by sending a code to the number or email on the order), so nobody else can get your data. We will reply as quickly as we can, and within the time the law allows.

If we do not resolve your complaint, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational and, until then, use any other remedy the law gives you.

8. How we protect it

  • The website uses HTTPS; the database is not directly reachable from the internet, only through our server.
  • The owner dashboard is behind a password with lock-out after repeated wrong attempts.
  • One-time codes are hashed; your order can be seen only after a code check or with the order number and your full phone number.
  • Invoice files are reached only by a private link that cannot be guessed.

If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

9. Children

Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

10. Cookies

We use only the small cookies needed to make the site work, plus one optional “remember me” cookie that is off unless you switch it on. See our Cookie Policy.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.

12. Contact and grievances
